Nowadays, continuous news of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) makes us scared to turn on the news.

Since January, before COVID-19 was spread to Korea, Central announced the measures to cope with COVID-19, and has been trying to prevent infection. Located in Zhanjiang port, China, CAC encouraged employees to work from home or take a vacation, and monitored their health status at all times. Domestic members were recommended to refrain from business trips to China and overseas customers were recommended to refrain from visiting domestic businesses. Business trips and group events were avoided, and business meetings were requested to be replaced by video or conference calls. In addition, it is recommended to use a hand sanitizer and a thermometer frequently by providing them in a place with frequent movement while wearing a mask. Central was committed to preventing viral transmission and maintaining the health of its members.

“But... Korea is currently in the 'severe' stage of the COVID-19 crisis” On February 23, the Korean government upgraded the COVID-19 alert to the highest stage, ‘severity’. As the situation got worse, Central's response guidelines were strengthened.

To enhance the personal hygiene of the members, Central requires them to wear a mask and check the body temperature (we continuously provide the mask to all employees).

In addition, external visitor access has been strengthened to prevent the spread of viruses in the company. External visitor access is strictly controlled, and if access is inevitably required, external visitors are only allowed to enter the designated contact area of each business site after measuring body temperature and wearing a mask (entry list management is mandatory!). We encourage members to use their own vehicles rather than public transportation when commuting to work, and cancel and postpone outside business trips (even business trips between businesses are also prohibited!). We recommend using video conferencing rather than face-to-face meetings.

In addition, for the purpose of strengthening in-house quarantine and preventing interpersonal contact during lunch, we operate a divided meal time, and have a space to sit and dine in a zigzag manner. Moreover, we implement working from home, except when it is inevitable for the safety of our employees and their families(In particular, pregnant staff, and members who need to take care of young children by closing kindergartens and daycare centers!)

For preventing COVID-19 infection in advance not only in Korea, but also in overseas plants such as Vietnam and Mexico, we are practicing infection prevention in the same way as in Korea and conducting continuous monitoring.

In a company where a large number of people gather, personal hygiene must be strictly observed. Only by adhering to simple rules, such as wearing marks, washing your hands, and following coughing etiquette, a significant portion of the virus can be prevented.

Please remember and practice the 'prevention guidelines' suggested by Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention! If there are any suspicious symptoms, it is necessary to contact each operator in order to prevent further damage, along with various actions such as visiting a screening clinic or contacting 1339.

We sincerely wish all Central members to be healthier than ever
