CTR ESG: EcoVadis Silver Medal / UNGC Membership 25-10-01

본문

CTR has been consistently practicing various actions for ESG,

and today, we would like to share what kind of sustainability management activities CTR has been carrying out in 2025.

Among them, we have two pieces of particularly meaningful news to share with you:
our achievement in the EcoVadis ESG evaluation and CTR’s official membership in the UNGC (United Nations Global Compact).

CTR Achieves First-Ever Silver Medal in EcoVadis ESG Assessment & Improves Score

In April 2025, CTR was awarded its very first Silver Medal at the Large-size level from EcoVadis, a leading global ESG evaluation agency,
with a total score of 67 points, placing in the 85th percentile.

This recognized CTR’s systematic management of ESG practices in line with global standards. Not stopping there, CTR further improved its performance during the re-evaluation in August 2025, raising the score to 72 points and reaching the 89th percentile, thereby demonstrating an even higher level of ESG management.

CTR has been striving to enhance its ESG performance by establishing and executing detailed measures for each assessment category:

- General: Published a policy book (Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement)

- Environment: Systematized energy management and greenhouse gas reduction efforts, and established related policies
- Labor & Human Rights: Improved working conditions and expanded diversity and inclusion
- Ethics: Conducted ethics training for employees

- Sustainable Procurement: Established supplier code of conduct and supply chain ESG management process

All these achievements were made possible thanks to the collaboration of not only the ESG Team, but also the Purchasing Planning Team, EHS Team, People & Culture Team, Equipment Improvement Team, Management Support Team, Business Assessment Team, Research Planning Team and Information Security Team.

Going forward, CTR plans to transparently disclose ESG achievements by publishing a sustainability report and to strengthen its ability to respond to global regulations by establishing a risk management system based on climate risk analysis.

CTR Declares Commitment to Global Sustainability by Joining UNGC

In July 2025, CTR officially joined the UNGC (UN Global Compact), declaring its commitment to global sustainability practices.

UNGC is the world’s largest sustainability initiative, with over 20,000 companies and institutions across more than 170 countries, emphasizing corporate responsibility across four areas: Human Rights, Labor, Environment, and Anti-Corruption, through its Ten Principles.

CTR joined through its domestic automotive affiliates: Changwon, Masan, Yeongsan, Yeongsan AM, and Daehap plants.

Through this, CTR aims to meet ESG requirements from global customers and proactively respond to international ESG regulations such as the EU’s CSRD and CBAM.

You can check CTR’s membership information on the official UNGC website!

Looking ahead, CTR will further expand and deepen ESG activities in the following directions:

- Submit a Sustainability Implementation Report (2026)

- Internalize ESG policies and practices (implement labor, human rights, environmental, and ethics practices / apply UNGC’s Ten Principles to internal codes of conduct and guidelines)

- Expand ESG practices with the supply chain (supplier training and campaigns / establish common guidelines)

We ask for your continued support and interest in CTR’s journey of change and challenge.

CTR is building a sustainable future.
