CTR’s Yeongsan Plant has received a prestigious award from Ford Korea, one of the world’s leading global automakers.

The Yeongsan Plant was honored with Ford Korea’s “Zero QR & PPM” award, which is presented to outstanding suppliers that have recorded zero quality issues in the parts delivered annually to Ford.

What makes this achievement even more meaningful is that CTR Yeongsan Plant received this recognition for two consecutive years, in 2024 and 2025!

The award ceremony was held on January 23, 2026, at Ford’s office located in Gangnam, Seoul, to commemorate this outstanding accomplishment.

What is “Zero QR & PPM”?

Zero QR (Quality Rejection) and PPM (Parts Per Million) are key quality indicators used by Ford to evaluate the quality of supplied components.
QR refers to quality rejection issues identified in delivered parts. PPM indicates the number of defective parts per one million units.

CTR Yeongsan Plant achieved “Zero” in both indicators, meaning that no defective parts were delivered to the customer, demonstrating exceptional quality control performance.

To achieve zero defects, CTR Yeongsan Plant has consistently implemented the following quality management principles:

- Rapidcustomer response: Prioritizing close communication with customers through real-time feedback whenever issues arise 

- Accurate root cause analysis: Clearly identifying causes of defects and establishing both temporary and permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence

- Field-oriented response: Maintaining a proactive approach, including visiting customer sites overseas such as Thailand when quality issues occur

In addition, this achievement was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the Quality Management Team, who responded to quality issues in real time, day and night, without hesitation.

So, how will CTR Yeongsan continue to enhance quality going forward?
The key lies in “fundamental and disciplined management.”

While manufacturing equipment is well established across processes, defects often arise from unexpected working conditions or minor lapses in attention. CTR Yeongsan believes that the attitude toward handling products, the mindset used when reviewing manufacturing processes, and the ability to identify potential risks in advance are the true determinants of quality excellence.

Accordingly, during product audits and process inspections, the plant goes beyond simply checking current conditions. Instead, it proactively evaluates potential risks by asking, “What if this situation occurs?” maintaining a high level of awareness and engagement throughout all processes.

This award represents more than just an achievement for CTR Yeongsan Plant. It is a strong example of how sustainable, fundamentals-driven quality management leads to outstanding results.
