CTR Participates in the Changwon Industrial Complex Archive Exhibition <Cre-Maker: How Shall We Live with Machines?> 25-11-01

본문

CTR began in 1952 as Shilla Sanghwoe, a shop in Busan’s Gukje Market, and has walked alongside Korea’s manufacturing industry for decades, growing into the global automotive parts company it is today. At the center of this growth was Changwon.

For decades, CTR has continued its manufacturing activities in Changwon, growing together with the history of the Changwon National Industrial Complex. Changwon is not just a production base—it is the place where CTR’s technology and hard work are embedded, a home of life, and a space that reflects our philosophy.

This exhibition we are taking part in is a meaningful opportunity to revisit that significance!

The Changwon Industrial Complex 50+ Archive Exhibition, <Cre-Maker: How Shall We Live with Machines?>, which CTR has joined, sheds light on the 50-year history of the Changwon Industrial Complex from a cultural and artistic perspective, expressing the people who work there, the technologies, parts, and factory landscapes through the language of art.

The exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gyeongsangnam-do Province, and Changwon City, and organized by the Regional Culture and Development Agency, Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Foundation, and PSI Studio, with the participation of companies actively operating in the industrial complex.

As the title suggests, it shows that machines and technology are not merely tools of industry, but entities deeply connected with the way we live.

The exhibition will be held for a total of 23 days, from November 1 to November 23, 2025,
at theExhibition Hall on the 1st floor of the Dongnam Art Center, located on Changwondaero in Seongsan-gu, Changwon.

There will be around 275 works on display! In addition to actual parts provided by participating companies, the exhibition features a wide range of content including archived documents, photographs, videos, installations, and paintings. Visitors will be able to experience a space where industry and art, documentation and appreciation intersect.

True to its vision, Central to Your Safe Mobility, CTR has been committed to helping people live safer and more convenient lives.
And at the core of that commitment has always been technology, manufacturing, and people.

This exhibition has been a meaningful opportunity to share that philosophy which CTR has long valued with many others. Above all, it was a truly special moment to see our components meet visitors in a completely new way through this exhibition.
